About Katie
Katie Swatek is a South Dakota–based senior and sports photographer known for bold, dramatic imagery and an intentional, client-focused experience. From her small-town roots in Lake Andes, she has built a nationally recognized brand by staying personal, focused, and deeply connected to her clients.
She specializes in high school seniors and athletes, blending dynamic lighting, strong posing, and storytelling to create images that feel powerful and authentic. Katie is widely known for her dramatic sports lighting, honest business education, and her ability to turn connection into confidence—both behind the camera and in business.
Her philosophy is simple: how you make people feel will always matter more than trends.
