About Katie

Katie Swatek is a South Dakota–based senior and sports photographer known for bold, dramatic imagery and an even bolder client experience. From small-town Lake Andes, she’s built a nationally recognized brand by staying personal, intentional, and wildly client-focused.

She specializes in high school seniors and athletes, blending dynamic lighting, strong posing, and storytelling to create images that feel powerful and authentic. Katie is known in the industry for her dramatic sports lighting, honest business education, and her ability to turn connection into confidence, both behind the camera and in business.

Katie balances education and artistry with real life. When she’s not photographing seniors or mentoring photographers, you’ll likely find her chasing three kids, living at the river or diving haphazardly on the volleyball court like she's still 22. She preaches how you make people feel will always matter more than trends.

Spots are limited to keep this workshop hands-on and interactive. Once seats are filled, registration will close.
