Kim Kiely of Kim Kiely Photography has been in business since 2006. She has traveled with her business evolving as each road took the next turn on a new adventure. One small bit of advance “travel light” has resounded every time she packs her suitcase. It has spilled over into her photography. Growing up in a military family meant traveling every other year from one country to another or even state to state. Wandering through museums, bookstores and antique shops was constant inspiration and always helped Kim settle into her new surroundings. Many of the cultures, cuisines and geographic landscapes enhanced the nature of her photography. Traveling with all sorts of equipment was unrealistic so she “modified” how she would work her business.

Kim specializes in fine art photography. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Virginia Professional Photographers of America (VPPA), Texas Professional Photographers of America (TPPA) and a volunteer for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS) and Photographer for the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra. Kim will demonstrate how to use one light to enhance your portrait photography using just a few pieces of equipment and will show how she post processes an image. Knowing where to place the light, modify and amplify light makes for a much more enjoyable and “lighter” journey.
